PBS Documentary Alert: H₂O, The Molecule That Made Us

H₂O, The Molecule That Made Us, is a three-part documentary series “that tells the human story through our relationship to water. Water has been at the heart of the human story since the very beginning, and now, we face a crisis of unprecedented proportions: we can no longer take water for granted.” The series is produced by PBS and WGBH, in partnership with The Nature Conservancy, among other organizations.

The three episodes are entitled Pulse, which shows where water comes from; Civilizations, which explains it’s importance to humanity; and Crisis, which highlights water problems and solutions. Both PBS and The Nature Conservancy offer lessons and educational material associated with the documentary series.

For the most part, the knowledge and expertise exists to address the many water crises around the world, it’s just a matter of attention and political will. The series, H₂O, The Molecule That Made Us, hopes to increase people’s understanding behind it all.
